European Club Cup 2017

The 33rd European Club Cup started this weekend in Antalya, Turkey. There are 36 teams taking part in the Open event, including 3 Irish teams, and 12 taking part in the Womens event. The Irish teams are Gonzaga, Adare and St. Benildus. All three lost in the first round, as is probably customary for Irish teams in this event though Gonzagas match looks like it was a close one. You can follow the Irish teams progress on the tournament website and most of the main chess websites are also carrying live games from the event.
